Contaminated well water sickens over 80 villagers in MP's Ratlam; 21 hospitalised, later discharged
India, July 18 -- More than 80 residents of Azampur Dodiya village in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district fell ill after reportedly consuming contaminated water from a village well over the past few days. According to health officials, villagers experienced symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain, prompting the administration to launch emergency medical and relief measures.
The health department quickly deployed ambulances to transport seriously affected patients to the Civil Hospital in Piploda. A total of 21 people were admitted for treatment, and all were discharged after their condition improved.
