India, May 26 -- The Congress party has rejected speculation about a possible change in the Karnataka Chief Minister, calling such reports baseless and without any factual basis.

Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said there was "no reality" to the claims of leadership change and dismissed the ongoing political buzz as mere speculation.

"Whatever speculation you people are doing, that is only speculation. No reality at all," Venugopal told reporters outside Indira Bhawan.

He clarified that discussions within the party leadership were focused on organisational matters, particularly the upcoming Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections in Karnataka.
