India, June 12 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday claimed that a BJP-led government would bring the Tata Group back to the state, while sharply criticising the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the previous Left Front regime over their industrial policies.

Addressing a press conference in Kolkata, Adhikari said the BJP government would focus on reviving West Bengal's industrial growth and attracting large-scale investment to generate employment opportunities.

"We will bring back the Tatas in Bengal," he said, referring to the Tata Motors small-car project in Singur, which was relocated to Gujarat in 2008 following a major land acquisition controversy.
