India, Feb. 18 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday approved a project worth over Rs 802.18 crore for the redevelopment of more than 241 major roads using advanced technology across the city to make them pothole-free, even and long-lasting.

Spanning over 400 km across 45 assembly constituencies, the Central Government will contribute Rs 643.36 crore, while the Delhi government will pitch in with Rs 158.82 crore, she said. The large-scale and comprehensive road improvement project will be completed by the end of the year, the Chief Minister added.

The roads identified for upgradation include August Kranti Marg in Malviya Nagar, Outer Ring Road, Rao Tula Ram Marg, Kapashera-Bijwasan Road, Najafgarh-Jharoda Road, Captain Gaur Mar...
