India, Aug. 22 -- A 25-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable died after suffering a gunshot wound from his service rifle while on duty at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Plant in Chittorgarh district on Saturday, August 22, police said.

The incident took place around 4.30 am near the reactor building at the Rawatbhata nuclear power complex, where the jawan, identified as Pramir Sarkar of West Bengal, was deployed for security duty.

According to Chittorgarh Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, the incident prima facie appears to be a case of suicide involving Sarkar's INSAS rifle.

Sarkar's colleagues rushed to the location after hearing the gunshot and found him lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to his chest...
