India, May 30 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will provide scanned copies of answer sheets to students through DigiLocker from next year, officials have confirmed. The move is part of a broader push to strengthen transparency in the evaluation process as the board expands its on-screen marking (OSM) system.

Officials said the initiative is designed to give students direct access to their evaluated answer scripts digitally. They also defended the implementation of the OSM system and the selection of Telangana-based firm Coempt Edu Teck for the contract, stating the decision followed a standard quality-and-cost based bidding process.
