India, May 29 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sought a five-day extension of custody for retired judge Giribala Singh and her son Samarth Singh in connection with the high-profile Twisha Sharma death case, marking a significant development in the ongoing probe.

According to officials, the agency argued that further custodial interrogation is required to confront the accused with evidence and clarify inconsistencies linked to allegations of dowry harassment, conspiracy, and suspicious circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma's death.
