India, April 12 -- The National Capital continued to see a rise in the temperature on Saturday, with forecasts by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) suggesting a further rise in the coming days.

Safdarjung, representative of the city's weather, recorded a maximum temperature of 34.7 degrees Celsius, 1.4 degrees below the normal and 1.9 degrees more than a day before. The minimum temperature was logged at 18.6 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees below normal but a 2.3 degree rise from the day before.

Other weather stations also logged a significant rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
