India, July 1 -- The Union Cabinet has approved two major highway infrastructure projects worth Rs.14,115 crore to improve connectivity in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The projects include a six-lane tunnel linking the Dwarka Expressway to South Delhi and a greenfield access-controlled highway connecting Kanpur and Kabrai in Uttar Pradesh.

The initiatives are aimed at easing traffic congestion, strengthening logistics and boosting regional economic growth.

The 29-km Kanpur-Kabrai corridor will improve connectivity between central Uttar Pradesh and the Bundelkhand region, reducing travel time and supporting industrial and agricultural transportation.
