India, Oct. 6 -- The Akhil Bharat Brahmin Front, Assam State Committee, criticised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday, October 6, alleging he has done little for the Brahmin community despite belonging to it himself.

Addressing a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club, representatives of the organisation said it was "unfortunate" that the Chief Minister belonged to the Brahmin community but did not extend adequate support to it. The group alleged that Sarma does not attend meetings or programmes organised by the Brahmin community and has not taken steps to form a Brahmin Development Council in Assam.
