India, July 11 -- The BJP on Friday criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly "vacationing abroad", describing him as a "non-serious politician" who exploits students only for political purposes.

The ruling party claimed that Gandhi's absence has led to the cancellation of his scheduled student outreach programmes this month. The BJP's remarks came after Gandhi's three scheduled student outreach programmes were reportedly cancelled.

BJP national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha questioned Gandhi's whereabouts, claiming that he has been absent from public events for nearly two weeks.

He further alleged that Gandhi is "completely immersed in vacationing" and has chosen holidays over political engagements.
