India, June 8 -- At least 3 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh lost their lives and 22 others were injured in a road accident on the Grand Trunk Road (NH-2) in Bihar's Aurangabad district early Monday morning.

The accident occurred when a private bus carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh to Varanasi collided with a stationary truck near a roadside eatery under the Deo More area in the Mufassil police station limits.

Police said the bus was travelling from Gaya towards Varanasi when it rammed into the parked truck around 12:30 am. The impact of the collision was severe, with passengers seated on one side of the vehicle bearing the brunt of the crash.
