India, Sept. 19 -- A 20-year-old B.Tech student died by suicide this week at her college in Ghatkesar, allegedly after facing dowry harassment just over two weeks into her marriage, police said on Friday, September 19.

The deceased, Pallavi, daughter of Yenugu Madhusudhan Reddy, a native of Katepally village in Motakonduru mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, was in her third year of B.Tech at Kommuri Prathap Reddy Institute of Technology (KPRIT). She had married Srikanth Reddy, a police constable posted at Chaitanyapuri Police Station, on August 30.
