India, Oct. 9 -- The Assam cabinet on Friday adopted 75 resolutions expressing appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting his 25 years in public office with the state's and the Northeast's transformation across development, connectivity, infrastructure, peace and security, industry and social sectors.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a special 90-minute cabinet meeting devoted exclusively to Modi's public service, spanning his tenure as Gujarat chief minister and his years as prime minister.
