India, Sept. 6 -- Despite a reduction in the water being released from Haryana's Hathnikund Barrage, the Yamuna River continues to pose a significant threat to the capital, flowing nearly two meters above its danger mark and one meter above the evacuation level. The high water levels have led to widespread waterlogging, disrupting daily life and affecting thousands of residents in low-lying areas, with Government data showing that almost 18,000 people have been impacted across five districts.
