India, July 12 -- An Army personnel and his father were allegedly shot dead in Bihar's Vaishali district on Sunday in what police suspect was a dispute over a pathway leading to their home. The deceased have been identified as Jitendra Kumar, who was home on leave from military service, and his father Munarik Rai.

According to officials, preliminary investigations suggest that the attack may have stemmed from a long-standing land-related disagreement, with some relatives suspected to be involved.
