India, July 10 -- Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth on Thursday took first-hand account of the prevailing security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the frontier districts of Rajouri and Poonch.

During his maiden visit to Jammu and Kashmir, General Dhiraj Seth visited Srinagar-based Chinar Corps headquarters on Wednesday and its formations and reviewed the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and combat readiness along the Line of Control and in the hinterland. On Thursday, the Chief of Army Staff visited forward areas along the Line of Control in Poonch, Rajouri & Sunderbani.
