India, July 15 -- Rajasthan has reported another maternal death linked to complications following a caesarean section, taking the total number of such deaths in government hospitals across the state to 19 over the past three months.

The latest victim, a 25-year-old woman, died at PBM Hospital in Bikaner after spending more than a month in intensive care following post-operative complications.

The growing number of maternal deaths has raised serious concerns about the quality of maternal healthcare and post-operative care in the state's public hospitals.
