Air India Flight Suffers Tail Strike During Landing at Bengaluru Airport
India, May 21 -- An Air India flight operating from Delhi to Bengaluru experienced a tail-strike incident while landing at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
Despite the incident, the aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew members disembarked without any injuries. The aircraft involved was an Airbus A321 operating as flight AI2651.
According to initial reports, the incident may have occurred during a precautionary go-around manoeuvre triggered by wake turbulence caused by another aircraft operating nearby.
Wake turbulence refers to disturbed air created by larger aircraft, which can affect the stability of planes approaching or departing from the runway.
