India, Oct. 22 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch has summoned Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Ajinkya Shinde to join its investigation into the alleged trespass at Jantar Mantar, police sources said on Thursday.

Das and Ranka were issued notices to appear before investigators a day after they were released from Tihar Jail. Shinde has also been summoned in connection with the case.

The investigation concerns allegations that CJP members entered the Jantar Mantar area through private premises despite restrictions on protests at the site. Police have alleged that the group crossed into the area on October 13 and attempted to unfurl the national flag.
