India, April 28 -- Adani Group has announced a massive $100 billion investment to build a nationwide artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure platform, marking one of the largest tech infrastructure pushes in India.

Speaking at an event in Visakhapatnam, Jeet Adani said the initiative aims to create a scalable ecosystem spanning energy generation, transmission, digital networks, and data centres-powered by clean and reliable energy.

The project has also attracted significant global backing, with Google committing $15 billion to develop AI data centre infrastructure in India. This is expected to rank among the largest foreign direct investments in the country's technology sector.
