Aaditya Thackeray distances himself from Disha Salian case, says 'Why should I respond?'
India, Sept. 3 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday said he had nothing to do with the Disha Salian death case and questioned why he should comment on the Bombay High Court's decision to order a CBI probe into the matter.
"It is something I have nothing to do with, and have not even thought about. Why should I even respond to this?" Thackeray, a former Maharashtra minister, said in response to a reporter's question.
The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe Salian's death and criticised Mumbai Police for failing to register an FIR even after nearly six years. The court observed that the police investigation raised "more questions than answers".
