India, June 25 -- At least 9 people were killed and 20 others rescued after a three-storey under-construction warehouse collapsed in Kolkata's Taratala area, officials said on Wednesday. Several others are still feared trapped under the debris as rescue operations continue.

The incident occurred during construction work when a portion of the structure suddenly gave way, bringing down heavy concrete slabs and iron beams. Emergency teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), fire services, Kolkata Police, and the Indian Army, were deployed for search and rescue operations.
