India, Aug. 8 -- As many as 87 proposals have been received from various States and UTs under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) scheme in the first round of Phase-I, for which applications were invited till July 31, Parliament was informed on Friday.

In March, the Government approved the Rs 33,660-crore scheme to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks across the country. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada said applications received would be taken up for evaluation and scoring in accordance with the prescribed eligibility and evaluation criteria as per the scheme guidelines.
