India, June 18 -- At least 7 people were killed after a vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, officials said.

According to reports, the vehicle lost control on a hilly stretch of road and fell into a gorge, resulting in multiple fatalities on the spot. Local residents and rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after the accident was reported.

Police and emergency responders carried out rescue operations in difficult terrain, retrieving the bodies from the ravine. The deceased were shifted for post-mortem examination, officials said.
