India, June 26 -- Four people from Hyderabad were killed and six others injured after the SUV they were travelling in rammed into a parked lorry on the Macherla-Veldurthi highway in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district on Friday. The impact of the collision left the vehicle badly mangled, triggering a major rescue operation.

According to police, the accident occurred when the SUV crashed into a stationary lorry parked along the highway. Four occupants died on the spot, while six others sustained injuries of varying severity and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
