India, Aug. 16 -- A 33-year-old man returning from a friend's birthday party was shot dead in Pipri Pura village, with his family alleging the shooting stemmed from a dispute with relatives over stealing power from public transmission lines, police said on Sunday, August 16. SHO of Jaswant Nagar police station Kamal Bhati said Rahul Kumar Yadav (33), a resident of Pipri Pura under the Jaswant Nagar police station area of Etawah district, was returning home late on Saturday evening when assailants shot him.
