India, June 24 -- At least 3 people were killed and 21 others were rescued after a warehouse shed collapsed in the Taratala area of Kolkata, officials said, as rescue operations continued through the day.

The incident occurred at an under-construction godown where workers were present when the structure suddenly gave way, trapping several people under debris. Emergency teams, including fire and disaster response personnel, rushed to the spot and launched search and rescue operations.

Officials said multiple workers were pulled out from the rubble and shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. However, three people were declared dead, while several others remain under medical care.
