India, Aug. 21 -- A 21-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped and killed, with police securing four people in connection with the case, officials said on Friday.

The incident took place on August 19 under the jurisdiction of Sirwar police station, police said.

A case was registered against four people based on a complaint filed by the woman's father. All four accused have been secured and are being questioned, police said.

According to the police, the accused allegedly abducted the woman around 7 pm on August 19 when she had gone towards a temple in her village to attend to nature's call.
