India, Aug. 16 -- Seventeen officers and staff members from the Delhi Police have been honoured with service medals on Independence Day for their outstanding and dedicated work. Among the awards are two President's Medals for Distinguished Service and 15 Medals for Meritorious Service.

Dinesh Kumar Gupta, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, and Sub-Inspector (Executive) Rajesh Kumar will receive the President's Medal for Distinguished Service.

Gupta, who joined the AGMUT cadre in 2010, has worked in many operational and specialised roles. He has served as Assistant Commissioner of Police in several areas and as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police in various districts and units, including Railway, IGI Airport, Traffic, Recruitme...
