India, July 19 -- A woman was killed and two others were seriously injured after a retaining wall collapsed onto a tea stall near Chirwai Naka in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on Sunday morning, officials said.

According to Station Officer Amar Singh Sikarwar, the wall behind the Mukti Dham suddenly gave way and fell on a tea stall operating below it. Three people were trapped under the debris and were immediately rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

One of the victims, identified as Sapna Batham, succumbed to her injuries before reaching the hospital, while the other two injured persons are undergoing treatment at a trauma centre.
