India, Oct. 6 -- In a significant bust, Delhi Police dismantled a network responsible for producing and selling counterfeit engine oil filters, arresting two individuals tied to trademark violations.
The police have arrested two men and recovered 1,700 counterfeit filters packed in 130 boxes from Ashok Vihar and Shalimar Bagh.
The accused Dinesh Gupta, 64, of Ashok Vihar, and Rajesh Gupta of Shalimar Bagh had been posing as authorised distributors of the Fleetguard brand, police said. Both were arrested following raids conducted by the District Investigation Unit (DIU) of the North-West district.
