"Our blood has been sucked": Omar Abdullah hits out at Pak on Indus waters
India, Aug. 14 -- Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday, Aug 14 hit out at Pakistan for staking claim over water from rivers of Jammu and Kashmir, saying Islamabad should not be selective in expressing sympathy with people on this side of the Line of Control (LoC).
Abdullah's criticism came while responding to a question about Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's comments on the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). Sharif had said "every drop of water is our red line" and warned that Pakistan would give a "direct response" if its water supplies were threatened.
