India, Nov. 4 -- Playback singer Kanika Kapoor on Wednesday announced her separation from her husband, businessman Gautam Hathiramani, bringing their four-year marriage to an end.

The singer, known for songs such as Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan and Jugni Ji, shared the news in a statement on her Instagram Stories. She said that after much thought and consideration, she and her husband were "going our separate ways". She said she was grateful for the time they had shared and wished him well for the future.
