Manila, Feb. 27 -- Warm and humid weather will prevail across the country due to the easterlies, the weather bureau said Friday.

The easterlies could also cause thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening, weather specialist Leanne Loreto of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms could result in flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, Loreto said no weather disturbance is expected to affect the country in the next four to five days.

Moderate winds and moderate coastal waters are forecast across the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
