LEGAZPI CITY, Nov. 14 -- The provincial government of Catanduanes reported on Friday that Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-wong, which struck on Nov. 9, caused over PHP4.4 billion in damage to agriculture and infrastructure across the province.

In a situation report, Governor Patrick Azanza said that agricultural losses amounted to over PHP1.5 billion, while damage to infrastructure reached PHP2.8 billion.

An additional PHP27 million was reported in damage to non-infrastructure sectors.

Regarding the status of internally displaced persons, 777 families, or 3,024 individuals, are currently staying in various evacuation centers, while 3,450 families, totaling 12,387 individuals, are staying with relatives.
