Manila, Oct. 13 -- University of the Philippines survived Ateneo de Manila University, 3-2, Sunday night to remain unbeaten in the UAAP Season 88 men's football tournament at the UP Diliman Football Field.

The Fighting Maroons now have 13 points and a goal difference of +5 after five matches.

"I think the boys showed true heart and a lot of character," said UP head coach Popoy Clarino.

Lorenz Tortona delivered the first goal for the Fighting Maroons just two minutes into the match, but the Blue Eagles tied the score on Ghanaian forward Kofi Agyei's goal in the 19th minute.
