Manila, July 9 -- Typhoon Inday (international name Bavi) slightly weakened, packing maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometer per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 205 kph, the weather bureau reported Thursday.

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Inday was last located 865 km. east of Northern Luzon, moving northwestward at 15 kph.

Gale-force winds are forecast in Batanes, where wind signal no. 2 is hoisted.
