MANILA, Oct. 3 -- The Santiago-Alicia 69-kilovolt Line that transmits power to the Isabela 1 Electric Cooperative Inc. in Alicia, Isabela and the Ifugao Electric Cooperative Inc. was restored around 2:15 p.m. Friday.
The transmission line became unavailable at around 10:26 a.m. due to tropical cyclone Paolo (international name Matmo), the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) reported.
"NGCP's transmission lines and facilities are under normal operations," NGCP said in its 5 p.m. advisory.
Based on the latest bulletin of the weather bureau, Paolo has weakened into a severe tropical storm after it intensified into a typhoon before noon.
Paolo was forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning....
