Manila, Aug. 21 -- Two persons were killed while another was injured in a daylight ambush along the national highway in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur on Thursday.

Capt. Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said the ambush occurred in Sitio Panang, Barangay Salbu, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, around noon.

She identified the fatalities as Kamarudin Mangansakan Ebus, a businessman, and Mohalidin Esmael, and the injured as Kenedie Adin, a laborer, all residents of Cotabato City.
