Manila, Sept. 19 -- The Aurora Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported Friday that Tropical Depression Mirasol caused an estimated PHP19.1 million in agricultural damage across the province.

The losses affected rice, corn, fisheries, livestock and high-value crops, according to Provincial DRRM officer Elson Egargue.

The municipalities of Casiguran, Dilasag and Dinalungan were among the hardest-hit.

In an interview, Egargue said Casiguran alone sustained more than PHP5.4 million in agricultural losses, while Dilasag reported over PHP12.6 million, including damage to 205 hectares of rice fields and dozens of fishing boats. Dinalungan also reported over PHP1 million in fisheries and crop damage.
