MANILA, Aug. 24 -- Xandi Chua will leave for Australia next week to resume her training for the 33rd Thailand Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) slated in December.

She has qualified for five events, including the 200-meter backstroke, which she won at the 2023 Cambodia SEAG.

The three-day Philippine Aquatics, Inc.-organized tryouts concluded Sunday at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.

Chua also qualified for the 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke, and 200m and 400m Individual Medley.

"It's within the gold medal time, but I don't want to pressure myself. So, we'll see," the 24-year-old member of the FTW Royals Swim Club said.
