ZAMBOANGA, April 5 -- Authorities arrested one suspect and seized some PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in an anti-drug operation Sunday in this city.

Bryan Babang, Drector of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA9), identified the arrested suspect as alias "Mahadil," 37, a motorcycle taxi driver.

Mahadil was arrested in a buy-bust conducted by joint PDEA and police operatives around 7:38 a.m. in Barangay Lunzuran.

"Seized from the suspect were four heat-sealed transparent plastic packs containing suspected shabu weighing about 1,000 grams," Babang said in his report.

Also confiscated were five bundles of boodle money and identification cards.
