Manila, Aug. 21 -- The Social Security System (SSS) held its eighth Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) activity in Albay town on Thursday, with collections from seven operations totaling PHP603,598 from January to July.

RACE is an SSS campaign that encourages delinquent employers to comply with registration, worker coverage, and contribution remittance requirements under the Social Security law.

According to the SSS report, the seven RACE operations conducted from January to July covered 95 employers and 505 employees.

SSS Branch Head II Jogar Tosoc said the campaign has been effective in encouraging employers to comply with their obligations and in raising awareness of social security coverage.
