Calamba City Laguna, Aug. 1 -- The opening of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Northbound Entry-Exit Interchange in San Pedro City, Laguna, on Friday is seen to ease daily travel for thousands of motorists heading to the city and the neighboring cities of Binan and San Pedro.

In a message, Danilo Lucas, Laguna Acting Provincial Information Officer, said that in addition to easing travel, the new interchange has opened broader opportunities for local economic growth, tourism and regional integration.

"Thank you for opening the opportunity. Thank you for being a bridge in the development of Laguna tourism," Lucas quoted Governor Sol Aragones' statement at the ceremonial opening.
