MANILA, Aug. 22 -- Signal No. 1 is still hoisted in Northern Luzon areas as Tropical Depression (TD) Isang crossed Quirino province, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 5 p.m. bulletin Friday.

Isang was located in the vicinity of Aglipay town as of 4 p.m. It packs maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

Strong winds will continue to prevail in areas under Signal No. 1: Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, and the northern portion of Nueva Ecija (Lupao, Carranglan, Pantabangan, San Jose City).
