Manila, March 24 -- Senators said Tuesday the creation of a government crisis committee would ensure a coordinated response to the impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict on fuel supply and food security.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. earlier ordered the creation of a crisis committee to ensure a stable supply of oil and protect consumers from the impact of the Middle East conflict.

Senator Joel Villanueva backed the move, stressing the need for a whole-of-government approach to protect Filipino households.
