Manila, Oct. 24 -- Senator Francis Pangilinan on Friday assured the public of the immediate passage of the proposed measure to create an Independent People's Commission (IPC) that will investigate anomalies in all government infrastructure projects.

Pangilinan said this would be a top priority even if the Senate is in the middle of budget deliberations, he said in a news release.

He asked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to certify the bill as urgent.

"That's why we're committing to having this sponsored on the floor by the first week or second at the latest ... the week that we resume sa Senado (at the Senate)," he said.
