Manila, March 26 -- More areas will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the prevailing easterlies, the weather bureau said Thursday.

These areas are Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Caraga, Soccsksargen, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.

The rest of the country will continue to experience warm and humid weather, PAGASA weather specialist Loriedin Galicia said.

Isolated rain showers are also likely.

The highest forecast temperatures are 35C in Zamboanga and 34C in Tuguegarao and Davao.
