Manila, Oct. 13 -- The Supreme Court (SC) has turned down the Duterte Youth party-list plea for a temporary restraining order on the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) order canceling its registration.
In a resolution dated Sept. 30 and made public Monday, the SC en banc rejected the group's prayer for a restraining order, writ of preliminary injunction and status quo ante order, and denied its motion for special raffle.
The court also required the Comelec and other respondents in the case to comment within 10 days.
The group had questioned two Comelec resolutions - the June 18 resolution cancelling its registration; and the Aug. 29 resolution affirming the earlier ruling and dismissing the group's motion for registration.
